The reaction mixture was allowed to warm to room temperature and thrther stirred for 1 h. The reaction mixture was diluted with water, extracted with EtOAc, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and concentrated under reduced pressure to give (tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)methyl 4-methylbenzenesulfonate (10) as white solid.
